Elementalists and Rangers are real easy too.
Ele- fire storm, meteor shower, meteor. Cast one, wait for him to cast, move, repeat. When all are casted if he isn't dead, run around with him in the aggro circle.
Ranger- brings spirits, apply poison, disrupting shot. Use apply poison, then start shooting. Once he tries to use poison, disrupting shot it. He should be pretty much dead at that point.

Just beat my doppleganger in about 15 seconds as a level 20 W/R, without taking a single hit. And this was on the first try, too.
I'm a sword warrior, so my skill bar for this battle consisted of the following:
1. Sever Artery
2. Gash
3. Frenzy
4 - 8. various spirit nature rituals I threw in entirely at random
As expected, the doppleganger starting casting out the spirits right away, while I just charged in and starting hacking away with my sword. As sever artery and gash charged up, I used them. The result was, as he was wasting time with those spirits, his health bar just plummeted.
Since the attack skills I used are among the first that most players learn back in pre-searing, I would imagine this strategy would be effective for any warrior/ranger, regardless of level. Just as long as there are some useless nature rituals for the doppleganger to waste time casting.
Note that armor is not really an issue here, as the doppleganger wasn't around long enough to even try taking a swing at me, so as long as you have a good sword and decent swordsmanship skill (mine's at 11, currently), the rest of the gear doesn't matter for this battle.

Shield stance = easy win for warriors (seeing as he doesn't use a shield)
